19:26 is an Italian musical project founded in 2019, with an emotional techno perspective and influences from ambient to neoclassical. Distinct perspective and inspirations enabled him to accumulate a plethora of productions ranging from melancholy to euphoric moments, collected in enveloping and hypnotic grooves, with obsessive attention to the aesthetics of every single sound.

Hello and welcome to Only Techno, where are we speaking to you from today?

Hello guys, and thank you for having me on Only Techno. I am currently located in Beirut, Lebanon, and I’m excited to speak with you today. Let’s get started!

Can you tell us a little bit about how you got into music production and did DJing come after?

I began producing roughly 5 years ago, while studying to be a lawyer. And, no, DJing came first; I’ve been doing it since I was 13 years old.

Your remix of Sascha Breimer’s ‘Gieger’ has just come out on Surrealism and is already in the Beatport Melodic House & Techno charts. How did this one come about and how does it feel to see it being played by the likes of Camelphat, Magdalena, 8Kays, Brina Knauss, to name a few?

That’s right. This one came to me naturally. My friend EdOne asked me to remix this massive original by Sascha Braemer. I strongly sensed the track’s core parts and immediately thought about how to remix it. The promo was then distributed to a circle of artists, who unanimously supported it. I honestly wasn’t expecting it.

2023 has been pretty busy for you already, with the success of your releases with Animal Picnic ‘XX’ and ‘Disobedience’. How did you guys come to collaborate? Do you have any other releases together coming up?

Yes, it was quite natural. We played a lot together, we had similar feelings and emotions, and we were discussing doing something together. Then we planned to make it live rather than online. We have a good buddy who owns a large studio in Beirut, so we decided to travel there for 4/5 days and give it a shot. We made maybe four tracks in four days. XX and Disobedience were included in the kit. And we’ve recently returned to the studio with a lot of new stuff. Maybe you are already seeing it being played by someone else:)

What is your current studio set up like, and what gear do you use?

I started with an analogical approach. I learnt and experimented a lot of machines, but now I work 100% ITB.

How do you stay inspired and find ideas for new tracks?

There is no precise answer to this question. It all depends. I’m sometimes influenced by other musicians, and occasionally by movies. But it’s often just silence. In any case, it’s a process. During this procedure, each track is modified. And you strive not to become bored while doing so.

What are some of your favorite places to play?

I love each one of them. Last year I had great parties in Tunisia, Morocco, Croatia, Germany, India, Belgium. For different reasons, for some detail, all of them are special to me.

Are there any places you haven’t toured yet that you are hoping to soon?

It’s always great to discover new places, and I would love to tour in Asia, mainly : Japan, Singapore, also America (north and south) and Australia.

With so many producers in the world, what do you think it is that makes you stand out from the masses and continues to catch the attention of music lovers and producers around the globe?

I have no notion; all I do is produce and work on my concepts for both the music and the other aspects of the project in an effort to create something unique. I must always be ecstatic and never become bored.
